After completing the Private Pilot's License, the night rating is started. Even if you do not want to acquire your Commercial Pilot's License, we strongly advise you to obtain your night rating. It is an introduction to instrument flying that serves as the foundation for earning the instrument rating at the end of the Commercial Pilot's License program.
Initial training takes place in a FNPT-II simulator, with final training taking place in the Cessna 172 aircraft.
Theoretical Knowledge Examinations to pass:
All Theoretical Knowledge Examinations must be passed with a minimum score of 75%
Training Involved:
A student must complete at least 5 hours of theoretical knowledge grounding training.
Not less than ten hours of instrument training, five of which must be flown on an approved FSTD (Flight Simulation Straining Device).
You must have completed at least 5 night take-offs and landings, as well as one cross-country flight (navigation across provincial boundaries) with a total distance of 150 nautical miles and two full stop landings at two different airports, throughout this 10 hour period.
